Tomorrow a group of us ladies are heading to Mt. Hood to stay at a beautiful cabin. We will be hiking, eating, singing around the campfire and building strong friendships. I can't wait!

...dreaming...

When I was a little girl I loved climbing trees. I would pretend that each tree was my home. We finally built a treehouse in our backyard where I would play for hours. I would even have sleep overs... So im just dreaming of one day being able to have a treehouse of my very own!

Not too far away there is a place in Issaqua, WA where you can stay in a treehouse! click here

..exciting news!...

I was planning on moving out October first into another amazing house but the Lord has changed plans! And I couldnt be more happier. Although I was really excited for another change I feel like God just blessed me with the new plan. Originally I couldnt stay in this house im at now just because the girls always thought having more than 3 living there would make it feel crowded... and we only have 1 bathroom! But the other day Dacia let me know that she had been thinking about that and discovered that it really hasnt felt crowded but actually really likes having me there... so she offered for me to stay! After praying about it to make sure it was the right decision I am staying! Theses are some amazing girls and I have felt soo loved and welcomed. I look forward to our house becoming more like a "home!" We get to do a little makeover on the living room.. which will be so fun! ill post photos when we get around to it.

...labor day weekend...

This weekend was alot of fun. My brother Clint and his girlfriend Kayla come down from Tacoma for the weekend. Its been so cool watching the Lord just bring us all together as a family. I would have to say that this weekend was so special just all being together and everyone being so happy!

"family photo" -- its so hard getting everyone to smile normal. haha

We had a yummy dinner at McCormick and Schmidts on the waterfront. Even though our waiter failed to mention that there were mushrooms in the burgers.. both of my brothers loathe mushrooms.. but they ended up being free!

My beautiful mama and I

Another family photo on the waterfront.

Monday we went up to Multnomah falls.. seriously soo beautiful. And the weather was perfect! Cant wait to go back when the leaves start changing!

..September first...

.weheartit.

My favorite time of year is quickly approaching. Today is raining and a bit cooler but at the same time warming my heart with the presence of FALL! As I drove to work this morning through the westhills it was enchanting as the fog hovered over the green trees. I seriously long for this feeling of coziness.

This month has alot of exciting things in store. Im preparing to move into a new home with some amazing ladies coming next month. This transition is very bitter sweet. The Lord has been so faithful in providing for me during this season of my life... its been very "freeing." This past June I left my "home" of 4 years to move over the the Eastside of Portland to be closer to my church community, and just for an adventure. I moved into a tiny little spare room inside a beautiful old 1900's house in NE with some amazing ladies. It was very humbling to come into an already established home as to where I was so used to being the "mama" of the house. The Lord has made this time soo sweet and better than I could even imagine. In this time I been blessed with a beautiful friendship that I know will be strengthened as years come. (Jamie you are a gift!) I moved into this home temporarily as I awaited the next step in this journey. For the first time I just let go of control and trusted in the Lords perfect timing and perfect will for my life. Ironically I heard that a spot was available in the "Lady Castle" the same month that I needed to be out. Sounded like the Lord opened up the door just in time! And on top of it I feel honored to live in this home. Its a house of 6 girls on Mt Tabor where Jesus is glorified and community is put in high regard. I look forward to gaining some amazing new friendships as well as stronger ones. Im seriously amazed at how good the Lord is to me! I dont deserve any of it, but by His grace He gives abundantly.

Community groups are starting soon at Door of Hope and God has called me to lead an all girls group. I have been asking the Lord to humble me and show me where He wants me to serve in His kingdom and it was really obvious after talking to a dear friend that this was it. Jayme has offered to open up her beautiful home as well as co-lead with me. I couldnt have picked a more perfect lady to work with as a team. Im so thankful for what He is doing in my life as well as the community in Door of Hope and look forward to the healing that He is going to bring in each girl that is a part of this. I pray that I am emptied of self and willing to be lead by His hand.

Also, I have the priveledge to disciple someone during this next season. Wow, alot of leadership roles! I had prayed for a long time that the Lord would prepare my heart and refine my character so I would be able to pour into the lives of others. And now its game time! It has defiantly been a challenging time but very fruitful. A few months ago I was faced with disapointment but have been learning to trust in His will and show His love in my reaction to that door closing. Choosing to radiate His love rather than walk in my flesh. "He gives and He takes away, but blessed by His name!"

yes, many exciting things happening! I need a ton of prayer and guidence in this season but He will guide me. :)
